Overview

The Cambodia Cycling in Pepper Route 4 Days is a carefully designed cycling journey for travelers who value authentic experiences, cultural connection, and unhurried exploration. Rather than rushing from one highlight to another, this tour invites you to slow down and experience Cambodia through its countryside, coastal landscapes, and agricultural heartlands.

Beginning in Phnom Penh, Cambodia’s vibrant capital, the route quickly transitions into a quieter world of rice paddies, canals, palm-lined roads, and traditional villages. Cycling at a comfortable pace allows time to observe everyday life, interact with local people, and appreciate the subtle beauty of rural Cambodia.

As the journey unfolds, the landscape gradually shifts toward the coast. The relaxed seaside town of Kep offers refreshing ocean views, salt fields, and fishing communities, while Kampot reveals a unique blend of colonial heritage, riverfront scenery, and fertile farmland. The region is internationally renowned for its Kampot pepper, considered among the finest in the world.

Your journey begins with a morning pickup from your hotel in Phnom Penh. Before leaving the city, we make a meaningful stop at the Killing Fields of Choeung Ek, a deeply moving site that provides essential context to Cambodia’s recent history. This visit, though somber, adds depth and understanding to the journey ahead.

Leaving Phnom Penh behind, we continue by vehicle to Wat Preah That, a peaceful and culturally significant pagoda that marks the transition from urban life to the countryside. Here, we prepare our bikes and begin the first cycling stage of the tour.

The afternoon ride takes place on quiet country roads, far from traffic, winding through rice paddies, sugar palm trees, and traditional villages. You will notice farmers working their fields, children waving from wooden houses, and monks walking calmly along the roadside. This is Cambodia at its most authentic, best experienced at cycling pace.

By late afternoon, we arrive in Takeo, a rural province often described as the cradle of Khmer civilization. Dinner is enjoyed locally, offering your first taste of southern Cambodian flavors.

Overnight in Takeo.

Route: Phnom Penh – Choeung Ek – Wat Preah That – Takeo
