Overview
CONQUER THE TONKINESE ALPS
Prepare for the definitive cycling odyssey through the rugged soul of Southeast Asia. Our 6-Day Northern Vietnam Bike Loop is a masterfully crafted expedition designed for riders who crave high-altitude challenges, cinematic landscapes, and profound cultural immersion. This journey takes you deep into the "Tonkinese Alps," a region defined by monumental limestone peaks, plunging valleys, and the most spectacular terraced rice fields on the planet.
Your adventure begins as we leave the urban pulse of Hanoi, transitioning into the serene, tea-scented air of Nghia Lo. From here, the terrain becomes legendary. You will conquer the Khau Pha Pass, one of Vietnam's "Four Great Passes," offering bird’s-eye views of the Mu Cang Chai rice terraces—a National Heritage site that looks like a staircase to heaven. As we push toward Sapa, you will face the ultimate test: the O Quy Ho Pass. Rising to over 2,000 meters, this is the highest and longest mountain pass in Vietnam, rewarding your grit with panoramic vistas of the Hoang Lien Son range and the "Roof of Indochina," Fansipan Peak.
But this loop is about more than just elevation gain. It is a journey through time and tradition. You will pedal through the ancestral lands of the H'mong, Dao, Thai, and Tay people, witnessing a way of life that has remained resilient for centuries. From the mist-shrouded streets of Sapa to the vibrant, kaleidoscopic markets of Bac Ha and the tranquil palm forests of Luc Yen, every kilometer tells a story. Supported by our professional team, premium equipment, and expert local guides, this is your chance to witness the majesty of Northern Vietnam from the most rewarding perspective imaginable—the saddle of a bicycle.
