Itinerary

Tour Plan
This one-day bike ride takes you from the busy streets of Hanoi to the rural area of Soc Son. You will start your day by meeting your local guide at your hotel in Hanoi and transferring by support vehicle to the other side of the Red River.
Once you are on the other side of the river, you will start your bike ride along the dyke, passing by rice fields and rural villages. You will cycle until you reach Viet Place Thanh Chuong, a museum and residence of the celebrated Vietnamese painter Thanh Chuong. The palace is a beautiful example of traditional Vietnamese architecture, with a blend of Chinese and French influences.
You will also have lunch in the house or in a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, you will cycle to Soc Son Temple, a Buddhist temple that was built in the 10th century and has been restored thirteen times. You will climb to the top of the mountain to see the biggest Buddha statue in Hanoi, which is made of bronze and weighs 20 tons.
After visiting the temple, you will return to Hanoi by support vehicle.
This is a great way to experience the rural life of Vietnam and learn about the history and culture of the country. You will also have the opportunity to visit two important cultural sites, Viet Place Thanh Chuong and Soc Son Temple.
