Overview
BEYOND THE FRONTIER
Immerse yourself in the raw, untamed beauty of Northern Vietnam with our 4-Day Cycling the Border Belt Cao Bang Tour. This expedition is a deep dive into the Cao Bang UNESCO Global Geopark, a region legendary for its dramatic karst landscapes, turquoise rivers, and ancient ethnic traditions. Unlike standard tours, our "Border Belt" itinerary takes you through the most intimate corners of the frontier, where the rhythm of life is still dictated by the seasons and the clatter of traditional crafts.
Your journey begins in the famous Phia Thap Incense Village, where the air is sweet with the scent of burning herbs and the hills are dotted with drying incense sticks. From this cultural base, we pedal through hidden valleys to discover the ancient art of basket weaving, interacting with the Nung people whose hospitality is as monumental as the mountains surrounding them.
The climax of the trip takes us toward the Chinese border, following the meandering Quay Son River. You will cycle through the chestnut groves of Trung Khanh before reaching the grand finale: Ban Gioc Waterfall. Standing as the fourth-largest border waterfall in the world, its thundering cascades provide a spectacular end to your cycling odyssey. Supported by professional guides and premium equipment, this tour is an invitation to witness the majestic soul of Cao Bang from the unique perspective of a bicycle saddle.
