Tour Plan
20:00: The Golden Cycling Tours team will pick you up from your Hanoi hotel and take you to the Hanoi railway station for the night train to Lao Cai. Spend the night on the train.
Breathtaking The tour was amazing. My rider (Shi) was friendly, funny, considerate and a great driver. It was exhilarating but, crucially, it felt safe and comfortable. The places we stayed at were really nice, particularly the hotel on the first night where I had a private room and an en suite. I liked how sociable the tour was too, which made it easy to make friends as a solo traveller. Even though it was cloudy for the whole tour, the landscapes were breathtaking. In fact, the fog may have added to the beauty. The rain on the last day did make the last leg of the trip a bit challenging, but other than that it was a great experience all round.
