Overview
THE ULTIMATE HIGHLAND EXPEDITION
Are you ready to conquer the most formidable and breathtaking landscapes in Southeast Asia? Our 7-Day Northern Vietnam Biking Trip is a legendary route designed for cyclists who seek the perfect fusion of physical endurance, cultural immersion, and raw natural beauty. This expedition is a grand circuit that connects the emerald valleys of the Northwest with the jagged limestone "forests" of the far North and the tranquil, jungle-fringed waters of the Northeast.
This journey is not for the faint of heart; it is for the explorer. We begin in the serene valley of Mai Chau, home to the White Thai people, before heading to the massive "Sea on the Mountain" at Thac Ba Lake. From there, we push northward into the iconic Ha Giang province. You will cycle through the Dong Van Karst Plateau UNESCO Global Geopark, navigating the serpentine roads of the Ma Pi Leng Pass—widely considered the most spectacular mountain road in Vietnam.
As we descend from the high peaks of Meo Vac into the remote river valleys of Bac Me, you will witness a side of Vietnam that few travelers ever see. Our odyssey concludes in the lush sanctuary of Ba Be National Park, where primary rainforests and ancient lakes provide a peaceful end to an epic adventure. Throughout the week, you will stay in traditional homestays, taste authentic mountain cuisine, and experience the unrivaled hospitality of H'Mong, Dao, Thai, and Tay ethnic communities. On this tour, every pedal stroke is a story, and every climb is rewarded with a vista that will stay with you forever.
