Overview
A TIMELESS JOURNEY TO THE ANCIENT KINH BAC REGION
Deep in the heart of the Red River Delta’s northern reaches lies a world seemingly untouched by the rapid modernization of the capital. Our Hanoi Countryside Bicycle Tour Van Huong Tho Ha Village 1 Day is an immersive odyssey that takes you across the Cau River to the ancient land of Kinh Bắc. This region is a treasure trove of Vietnamese heritage, characterized by moss-covered pagodas, ancient banyan trees, and villages that have maintained their soul for over a thousand years.
The highlight of this journey is Tho Ha Village, a place famous not only for its "Banh Da Nem" (rice paper) but for its extraordinary architectural identity. Historically a prominent pottery center, the villagers used discarded ceramic shards and broken terracotta pieces to build the walls of their houses and narrow alleys. As you cycle through these rustic, reddish-brown corridors, you will feel like you are pedaling through a living museum.
Complementing the architectural wonder of Tho Ha is the spirited atmosphere of Van Huong Village, renowned for its centuries-old tradition of brewing potent rice wine. Our route winds through lush rice fields, local ferries, and dyke roads that offer panoramic views of the tranquil river life. This tour is meticulously designed for those who seek authenticity—where every turn of the pedal reveals a new story of resilience, craftsmanship, and the timeless beauty of rural Vietnam. It is an escape for the spirit, a challenge for the body, and a feast for the eyes.
