Overview
The Mekong Delta, sometimes known as Vietnam's "rice bowl," is a region sliced with powerful canals and covered in an astonishing array of greens. It's a water world where countless rivers, canals, and streams meander through the area like arteries, supporting homes, businesses, and even marketplaces. Sometimes it's just possible to lose sight of the land. In addition to being extremely rural and riparian, the area is also one of Vietnam's most densely populated, with almost every acre being extensively farmed. Before spending the night in a hotel or resort, guests can enjoy the southern charm of little-known riverfront towns, sample the fruits sold in vibrant floating markets, or savor freshly prepared meals. The scene is completed with mangrove woods, revered Khmer pagodas, and off-the-beaten-path sights.

Reviews
Great Way to Experience Local Life I really enjoyed the cycling tour with Golden Cycling Tours. It was the perfect way to explore the Mekong Delta at a relaxed pace. I loved the stops along the way, where we could try local fruits and snacks, and the peaceful ride through the countryside was absolutely beautiful. The guides were very friendly and took the time to share their knowledge about the region. This was an authentic experience that allowed me to see the local way of life up close. I highly recommend it!
Perfect Combination of Adventure and Culture I’ve been on cycling tours before, but this one with Golden Cycling Tours in the Mekong Delta was by far the best. The company took care of everything, from bike setup to the detailed itinerary. We cycled through picturesque villages, fields of rice, and fruit orchards, and had opportunities to interact with locals and try traditional Vietnamese dishes like pho and banh xeo. The guides were knowledgeable and friendly, sharing insights into the area’s rich history and culture. I highly recommend this experience for anyone looking to explore the Mekong in an active and engaging way.
