Overview
A Journey Through Vietnam's Coastal Soul
Embark on an unforgettable Hoi An Bike Trip to Hue 2 Days, a journey that transcends the typical tourist path to reveal the raw, breathtaking beauty of Central Vietnam. This isn't just a commute between two UNESCO World Heritage sites; it is an immersive sensory experience designed for those who want to feel the ocean breeze on their skin and the rhythm of local life beneath their pedals.
Spanning approximately 120 kilometers, this route is legendary among cycling enthusiasts worldwide. We begin in the lantern-lit streets of Hoi An, weaving through lush rice paddies and traditional craft villages where time seems to stand still. As we progress toward Da Nang, the landscape transforms into a stunning contrast of modern urban architecture and pristine coastline.
The crown jewel of this trip is undoubtedly the ascent of the Hai Van Pass (Sea Cloud Pass). As you gear down and climb this winding mountain road, you’ll be rewarded with panoramic views of the East Vietnam Sea and the verdant Truong Son mountain range. Descending from the clouds, we find sanctuary at Lang Co Beach, a hidden gem nestled between a turquoise lagoon and the open sea. The final leg takes us through the "City of Tombs" and coastal fishing lagoons before arriving in the imperial majesty of Hue.
Whether you are a seasoned cyclist or an active traveler looking for a challenge, this 2-day expedition offers the perfect blend of physical exhilaration, cultural discovery, and natural wonder.

Route: Hoi An Old Town – Thuan Phuoc Bridge – Da Nang Beach – Hai Van Pass – Lang Co Bay.
-
Cycling Distance: ~55 Kilometers.
-
Road Condition: Flat coastal roads for the first 15km, followed by a challenging 10km winding ascent (grade 7-10%) and a thrilling 10km descent. Final stretch is flat lagoon-side road.
Your adventure begins with a warm greeting at your hotel in Hoi An. We provide a swift, 30-minute transfer to the majestic Thuan Phuoc Bridge in Da Nang. As you mount your bike, the cool morning air provides the perfect start. The first 15 kilometers serve as a gentle warm-up across flat, scenic coastal stretches, allowing your muscles to find their rhythm.
Then, the legend begins: the 10-kilometer ascent to the summit of Hai Van Pass. Standing 500 meters above sea level, this "Pass of the Ocean Clouds" is a masterpiece of nature. As you climb, the air turns crisp and the views become increasingly dramatic. Reaching the peak is a moment of pure triumph—take a breath and soak in the sweeping vistas of the Da Nang coastline on one side and the lush mountains on the other.
But the best is yet to come. Your hard work is rewarded with a spectacular 10-kilometer downhill glide. Gravity does the work as you wind down toward the crescent-shaped Lang Co Beach. The views of the turquoise lagoon from above are nothing short of hypnotic. At the base, we enjoy a gourmet picnic lunch featuring artisanal sandwiches, crisp veggies, fresh tropical fruits, and sweet treats in a shady lakeside spot.
The afternoon is a dreamy 15-kilometer flat ride skirting the rim of the Lang Co Lagoon, where you can watch local fishermen tending their nets. After checking into your ocean-front hotel, the rest of the day is yours. Dive into the refreshing waves of the ocean or simply lounge on the white sands as the sun sets over the mountains you just conquered.
