Overview

UNVEILING THE FORGOTTEN HERITAGE OF THE RED RIVER DELTA

Step off the beaten path and into the soul of Northern Vietnam with our Hanoi Cycling Day Tour Chem Tay Tuu Dong Ngac. While the Old Quarter captures the city's commercial energy, the districts along the Red River hold the keys to its ancient scholarly traditions and spiritual foundations. This full-day cycling expedition is a meticulously crafted journey that avoids the tourist crowds, taking you through a landscape where history is etched into every weathered brick and vibrant petal.

Our journey begins at the majestic Chem Temple, one of the oldest spiritual sites in Vietnam, dating back over 2,000 years. Nestled on the banks of the Red River, this temple is a masterpiece of wooden architecture and a testament to the enduring legends of the capital. From the sacred echoes of the temple, we pedal into the colorful expanse of Tay Tuu Flower Village. Known as the largest flower hub in Northern Vietnam, Tay Tuu is a sea of lilies, daisies, and roses that stretch as far as the eye can see. You will witness the meticulous care of local farmers as they prepare their blooms for the markets of Hanoi.

The climax of our ride is Dong Ngac Ancient Village, famously known as the "Village of Scholars." For centuries, this village has birthed high-ranking mandarins and intellectuals. Walking through its narrow, paved alleys is like stepping into a bygone era of Confucian elegance. You will explore ancient houses that have stood for centuries, featuring a unique blend of traditional Vietnamese and subtle French colonial influences. This tour is not just a bicycle ride; it is an intimate encounter with the heritage, the flora, and the people who have shaped the cultural identity of Hanoi for millennia.
