Overview

A Cultural Tapestry of the Red River Delta

Step away from the modern pulse of the capital and join us on the Hanoi Cycle Tour: Hoa Binh – Ninh Binh – Nam Dinh. This 4-day expedition is a masterfully curated journey through the heart of Northern Vietnam, designed for those who wish to experience the soul of the Tonkin region. We don't just take you to the famous landmarks; we take you through the veins of the countryside, where history is etched into every ancient brick and limestone peak.

Our adventure begins with a ride back in time to Duong Lam Ancient Village, where 300-year-old houses tell tales of a bygone era. From the golden plains, we ascend into the rugged landscapes of Hoa Binh, the gateway to the Northwest, where you will encounter the vibrant culture of the Muong ethnic group. The journey then shifts toward the ethereal beauty of Ninh Binh, the "Halong Bay on Land," where we pedal through hidden valleys and alongside emerald rivers that wind between towering karst formations.

The final leg of our odyssey brings us to the Catholic heartland of Nam Dinh. Here, the scenery transforms into a landscape of majestic cathedrals and serene coastal dikes. You will witness the unique architecture of the Phat Diem Stone Cathedral and explore traditional villages that have preserved their crafts for centuries. This is an invitation to see Vietnam from a different perspective—where every mile pedaled brings you closer to the authentic heritage and breathtaking nature of this enchanting land.

We had a very nice private cycling trip including Hanoi, Tam Coc, Ha Long Bay and Catba Island. Our guide Tru was great in showing us the beauty of the North Vietnamese landscape, the very friendly Vietnamese people and the delicious food. Tru even introduced us to Facebook which allowed us to share our impressions with our friends at home. Our driver Tuan was super friendly and felt like a family member. The only downside of the cycletour was the increasing traffic and pollution that is the effect of the fast growing economy in Vietnam. We hope that you keep finding the beautiful back roads across green rice fields and friendly villages.

The Golden Cycling Tours experience was beyond fantastic. I got to cycle through the best spots in Vietnam: Ninh Bình, Mai Châu, and Pu Luong. Ninh Bình was so unique with its dramatic karst formations, Mai Châu was like a hidden gem with its lush landscapes, and Pu Luong’s terraced rice fields were a photographer’s dream. The route was well-planned, and the guides were super friendly and informative. This is the perfect tour for adventurers and nature lovers!
