Overview

A SPIRITUAL ODYSSEY THROUGH ANCIENT NORTHERN VIETNAM

Step away from the neon lights and urban symphony of Hanoi to immerse yourself in the profound tranquility of the "Doai" region with our Hanoi Countryside Cycle Tour Tram Gian Thay Pagoda 1 Day. This meticulously designed itinerary offers a perfect blend of physical invigoration and spiritual enrichment, leading you to two of the most significant Buddhist landmarks in Northern Vietnam. As we pedal westward, the concrete jungle dissolves into a picturesque landscape of rolling hills, ancient banyan trees, and limestone karsts that stand like guardians over the emerald rice fields.

Our journey begins at Tram Gian Pagoda (also known as the Hundred-Bay Pagoda), perched majestically on the summit of So Mountain. Dating back to the 12th century, this architectural marvel is famous for its intricate wood carvings and a collection of 100 bays that harmonize perfectly with the surrounding pine forest. From the serene heights of Tram Gian, we navigate through the labyrinthine lanes of traditional villages, where life moves at the pace of the seasons, to reach Thay Pagoda. Nestled at the foot of the Sai Son limestone range, Thay Pagoda is not only a masterpiece of Ly Dynasty architecture but also the birthplace of Vietnamese water puppetry.

This full-day cycling expedition is more than just a bike ride; it is a sensory journey into the soul of rural Vietnam. You will breathe in the scent of ripening rice, hear the rhythmic chanting of monks, and witness the timeless artistry of ancient craftsmen. Whether you are an avid cyclist looking for a scenic challenge or a culture seeker wanting to uncover the hidden stories of Vietnam’s past, this tour promises an unforgettable day of discovery in the heart of the Red River Delta’s countryside.
