Itinerary
Experience the rural life of Vietnam on a Hanoi countryside bicycle tour. Cycle through rice paddy fields, lotus fields, and small villages, and visit two important cultural sites, Van Huong village and Tho Ha Village. Learn about the history and culture of Vietnam from your local guide, and experience the beauty of the countryside.
Tour Plan
Start your day with a pickup from your hotel in Hanoi and transfer by car to Bac Ninh province.
Once you arrive in the Duong Riverside, cross the river and take your bikes out of the car. Start riding along the dykes, enjoying the beautiful scenery of the countryside and rural villages. You will see rice paddy fields, lotus fields, and small villages nestled among the trees.
Make a stop to enjoy the wild nature and to take pictures of the natural beauty. You may even see some local wildlife, such as water buffalo, ducks, and geese.
Continue cycling on a dirt biking trail, turning right sometimes to take small village lanes to visit rural villages. You will get to see how people live in these villages, and learn about their culture and traditions.
Arrive in Van Huong village and visit a local liquor factory to learn about how liquor is made in the traditional way. You will see how the liquor is distilled, and you will even get to taste some.
Continue cycling through Van Huong village and arrive in Tho Ha Village for lunch. Tho Ha Village is famous for its pottery, and you will see many examples of this traditional craft.
After lunch, enjoy a short walk through small village alleys to experience the local life. You will see how people live and work in this village, and you will get to interact with the locals.
Take the ferry across the river and return to Hanoi by car.
Arrive back at your hotel in Hanoi in the afternoon.
