This itinerary is masterfully designed to bypass the tourist crowds, taking you through the "Coconut Capital" of Ben Tre, the untouched riverside hamlets of Vung Liem, and the emerald-green rice corridors of Phung Hiep. You won't just see the Delta; you will live it—breathing in the scent of ripening durian, crossing narrow "monkey bridges," and sharing smiles with local children on their way to school.
The transition from the vibrant, green-gold landscapes of the mainland to the turquoise horizon of Con Dao Island is nothing short of magical. From the spiritual resonance of the Khmer pagodas in Soc Trang to the high-speed dash across the ocean, this tour represents the perfect balance of physical activity, cultural immersion, and tropical relaxation. Tour Plan
The Gateway to the Coconut Kingdom
We depart Saigon in the morning, heading toward My Tho, the traditional gateway to the Mekong. After leaving the busy highway, our cycling journey begins. We cross the Mekong River and enter the Coconut Kingdom of Ben Tre. The landscape immediately shifts to dense, green canopies of coconut palms.
We pedal along tranquil village paths, stopping to watch locals processing coconuts into candy, oil, and handicrafts. As we push further toward Vung Liem, the path becomes narrower and even more peaceful. This area is famous for its "green tourism" and untouched beauty. We spend the evening in a boutique lodge or local guesthouse, soaking in the absolute serenity of the riverside.
