Overview
14-Day Hanoi to Saigon Cycling Tour – The Ultimate Vietnam Cross-Country Bike Odyssey
Embark on the definitive active travel experience in Southeast Asia with our signature 14-Day Hanoi to Saigon Cycling Tour. Stretching over 1,200 kilometers from the ancient, tree-lined boulevards of Hanoi in the north to the pulsating, modern metropolis of Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City) in the south, this cross-country bicycle trip is engineered for travelers who seek more than just sightseeing. By experiencing Vietnam from the saddle of a high-performance bicycle, you bypass standard tourist corridors and immerse yourself directly in the country’s rich heritage, raw landscapes, and warm hospitality.
A Journey Through Shifting Geographies and Cultures
Starting in Hanoi, your journey begins amid thousand-year-old history and colonial romance. As you pedal south, the urban landscape gives way to the dramatic karst towers of Ninh Binh—often called "Ha Long Bay on Land"—and the pristine, canopy-shaded trails of Cuc Phuong National Park. Crossing the historic 17th Parallel via an iconic overnight sleeper train journey, you enter Central Vietnam, a region defined by UNESCO World Heritage sites, royal heritage, and breathtaking coastal roads.
Challenge your legs and awaken your spirit on the legendary Hai Van Pass ("Ocean Cloud Pass"), climbing 500 meters above the turquoise waters of the East Sea for sweeping panoramic views. Trace the contours of the South Central Coast through sleepy fishing villages, shimmering salt flats, red desert sand dunes in Mui Ne, and vibrant dragon fruit orchards before your triumphant arrival in bustling Saigon.
Unrivaled Support, Authentic Flavors, and Comfortable Rest
We believe that physical effort should be rewarded with uncompromising comfort and deep cultural immersion. Throughout this 14-day adventure, you are backed by a dedicated support team, including expert local cycling guides, professional mechanics, and an air-conditioned support vehicle loaded with chilled water, sun-ripened tropical fruits, and energy snacks.
Every meal on this itinerary is curated to showcase authentic regional gastronomy—from crispy Com Chay in Ninh Binh and royal imperial dishes in Hue to fresh coastal seafood feasts, local Cao Lau noodles in Hoi An, and sweet dragon fruit straight from the vine. At the end of each daily ride, relax in hand-picked 3-star boutique hotels and beachfront resorts that capture the unique character of each destination.
Whether you are an avid cyclist looking for your next epic milestone or an adventurous traveler eager to uncover the real Vietnam on two wheels, this 14-day journey promises unforgettable miles, profound connections, and memories that will last a lifetime.

Reviews
What an amazing two weeks! I loved the feeling of travelling across Vietnam under my own power. We passed through small villages, farmland, local markets and beautiful countryside that I would never have experienced on a standard sightseeing trip. One of my favourite things was seeing how different each region of Vietnam felt. The route was challenging enough to be interesting without feeling like a race, and there were plenty of opportunities to stop for photos and enjoy local food. Our cycling guide was fantastic and took great care of the group. A truly memorable adventure.
This was a fantastic long-distance cycling experience. Fourteen days was the perfect amount of time to appreciate the incredible diversity of Vietnam. We experienced quiet country roads, coastal scenery, mountain sections and lively towns along the way. I particularly enjoyed the interaction with local people. Travelling by bicycle made it easy to stop in small villages and see everyday life at close range. The support team was professional and flexible, which made the longer riding days much easier. The combination of cycling, culture and scenery made this one of my favourite cycling holidays.
If you enjoy long-distance cycling, this is a wonderful way to explore Vietnam. The route from Hanoi to Saigon is varied and gives you a real sense of how large and diverse the country is. Some days were physically demanding, but that was exactly what I wanted from the trip. I especially enjoyed the quieter roads through the countryside, where we could ride at our own pace and enjoy the scenery. The bikes were well prepared and the support vehicle was very useful. Our guide was excellent and handled all the logistics smoothly. I would happily do another cycling trip with this company.
An unforgettable journey from Hanoi all the way to Saigon. What I loved most was that this was not simply a cycling challenge—it was a chance to experience Vietnam in a very authentic way. We cycled through beautiful countryside, saw rice fields and local villages, sampled delicious Vietnamese food and met many friendly people along the route. Each day brought something new, which kept the trip exciting. The team was extremely supportive, especially on the longer cycling days, and everything was very well organised. After 14 days, I felt that I had truly travelled through Vietnam rather than simply visited it.
The 14-Day Hanoi to Saigon Cycling Tour was an incredible way to see Vietnam from north to south. Cycling through the country gave us the opportunity to experience much more than we would have seen from a bus or car. Every few days the landscape changed completely, from rural villages and rice fields to coastal roads and busy cities. The organisation was excellent throughout the trip. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable, the support vehicle was always nearby, and our luggage was handled very efficiently. There were some challenging cycling days, but the variety of the route made every kilometre worthwhile. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to experience Vietnam actively.
